Its South Africa in the year 2008...
Well, actually it's South Africa represented in that crazy development in Dubai. They are still slowly packing the dirt in to fill out the world but eventually the abstract shapes will represent the continents on earth.
It's also a good thing that Dubai is an Arab state as we get incredibly high res pics of people working. Woohooo!

Another shot of one more of the countless developments in Dubai...


Lets throw a lot of dirt (because we have too much of it anyway) into the sea in the shape of a palm tree and then charge a bazillion dollars for some of it. Sorted!

didn't it cause some problems with the shore and tide or something, I saw a documentary on it showing how it created so much damage to the sea. That shit was really not planned out well.
