Soft at Siggy

Firstly I am very sad that I cannot make Siggraph this year, I was really hoping to attend but things have a funny way og changing.
Anyway, my colleague Brian Goodwin is there and if there are any big shops reading this blog (yeah right) and are need of an awesome Houdini dude - give him a shout. He's the guy that needs Ritolin, you will notice a crowd around a guy that never stops talking and cant sit still for two seconds. Mind you the jet lag might have a go at stopping his usual shannanigans.

But back to the post, Soft are going to be there and here is their little teaser. Looks nice, like the eyes - "Its all in the eyes!!"

esuvees

After seeing that wonderful PSA for esuvees on Stash 7 done by the brilliant Framestore CFC in London (including fellow Safricans Andy Boyd and Anders Thonell) I thought how cool it would be to have real life esuvees...

Esuvee Pic - click for bigger version

Aparently last seen in Chicago?!?!
This was sent in to the XSI mailing list (forgiveness for not remembering who..)

Here is a link to Framestore's site and the spot

Superman Max Power

On a recent trip to uShaka Marine World I stopped in at the one and only toy shop in the shopping mall as Sasha and I normally do to inspect the merchandise. This toy shop was slightly different...
Something caught our eye - it was Incredibles merchandise. Now I have a growing collection of Incredibles toys, posters, PC game and of course the DVD so to find extra goodies got me excited. However, this was no ordinary Incredibles merchandise. This was Superman Max Power!!! Ta - daa!
The first is a picture of Max Power... need I say more. I wonder what Pixar and Disney would think of this. I took photos with the permission of the shop owner but hurried through the array to avoid suspicion. This guy could have been with the chinese mafia 0_0
These toys were dirt cheap but hopefully nobody has bought them and funded some sweat shop in [name deleted to protect the author]

Superman Spycrew - WTF?

Look at the awful paint work on the family shot, Helen, Bob and Dash have Gold hair..(appologies for the blur - I was rushed) and note the "completely new to come into the market" caption - this will help sell a few,
er...yeah sure

Then there was the Incredibles set of all Helen (Elastigirl) and Voilet - note the "The Incredible Super Hero"

However it was not only poor Bob and his family that got the Asian treatment.

Here's a beauty, The Powerup Lassie ... did somebody say WHAT?

My little pony is known as Princess Horse.

Then finally there was what looked suspiciously like a Beyblade toy - named...
wait for it...

Been Away

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few weeks...

Around the 25th June I spent a weekend in Durban, which when I get the chance to upload, you can see the pics in my photos section of my site. I also came across some very dodgy toys in the toy shop at uShaka Marine World. But thats another post on its own when I get some time.

I also spent a week being very ill... nothing serious I am still alive.

Now I am currently in Cape Town for the week doing a little test and will be back in Pretoria on Saturday.

Between all of this I also spent a morning shooting Pigs (lots of animals for me this month). They are very cute but not the worlds best actors like the Buffalo and Lion from the Pilsner commercial I did.

Okay back to work and when my life calms down I can actually post something of interest.
